On the 7th-9th of February in 2008 the VIII International specialized exhibition “Wine and Winemaking”, VIII International specialized exhibition “High Degree”, VIII International tasting competition “Odessa Gulf”, International Moldovan-Ukrainian Forum, regarding to the questions of cooperation “From traditions to new realities of cooperation”, III International professional conference “Marketing strategies in promotion of the alcohol production”.
All the events traditionally were held under the patronage of the Assembly of European Regions, the Ministry of agrarian policy of Ukraine, Ministry of economy of Ukraine, “Ukrvinprom” corporation, Odessa State Regional Administration.
Scientific patronage and active participation during the exhibitions and the International tasting competition “Odessa Gulf” is provided by scientific enterprises with unique development in the sphere of winemaking and wine growing: “Magarach” grapes and wine National Institute of Ukrainian Academy of Agrarian Science, Scientific Research centre – Tairov wine growing and winemaking Institute of Ukrainian Academy of Agrarian Science. The general partner of the “Wine and Winemaking exhibition” is “Frantsuzsky Boulevar” trade mark. Target audience of exhibitions and special events - manufacturers, the wholesale companies, traders, experts of winemaking and alcoholic branches, advertising agencies, tasters, advisers on alcoholic drinks, owners, top-managers of restaurants, representatives of the state structures, the foreign companies, the trade missions of Embassies of the countries accredited in Ukraine, representatives of electronic and printed mass media from Ukraine and abroad. More than 100 companies took part in the exhibitions in 2008, among them manufacturers of wines, strong spirits, the equipment and materials for wine growing and winemaking. The high rating and a recognition of these exhibitions not only in Ukraine, but also abroad, have caused wide participation of foreign companies’ representatives of Italy, Moldova, Georgia, Russia, Belarus, Germany, France, Bulgaria, Hungary in the exhibitions. For many of them such participation became acknowledgement of the lead positions in this or that segment of Ukrainian market. Exposition “Wine. Alcoholic drinks” was represented by the enterprises, having wide experience and century traditions, alongside with classical winemaking introducing modern technologies, creating modern winemaking complexes with a full cycle of manufacture. Exposition “Equipment for winemaking and wine growing” was represented both by domestic and foreign manufacturers. There are «Willmes» company (Germany), “Italservice Ukraine” (Italy - Ukraine), “Kalderoni - Ukraina” (Italy - Ukraine), “Inox” trade mark (Bulgaria - Ukraine), “Avest - Line” trade mark, “Biomash” company, “Novatekh Ukraina”, “Fruktonad Group”, “Ostrov Odessa”, “Milesta”, “Ast - Master”, “Kork Service”, “Enogroup”, “Berkhord Ukraina”, “SV” PE (“Bonpos” trade mark), OLPOL, SIAT Srl (Israel), “Biomaster” (representation of biotechnological corporation “Lallemand”), “TUBES International”, “Shauer Produkt” (Belorus - Ukraine) and others.
In the exposition “Materials for designing and corking bottles, the container and packing” have been presented such enterprises of Ukraine as “Ukrprominvestgroup”, “Evrostekloservice”, “Komes” SMC. The exposition "Nursery keeping" has been presented nursery complex Vivai Cooperativi Raushedo (Italy), German company "Sibbus - sazhentsi" which enters the Center of German technologies, nursery "Giyom" (France), the "Mercier Group" company (France), "State farm "Belozersky " agro company, "Zakharenko" PE. The exposition " Specialized editions and literature" has been presented by leading Ukrainian and Russian trade papers: "Drinks plus", "Food and Drinks", "Grapes. Wine", “Agrobusiness today", "Brutto", "Pischeprom Ukraine", "Winemaking and wine growing", "Vinomania", "Empire of taste", "Promanager", "Empire of drinks", "Aenoteca" and others. One of the central events of the exhibitions became VIII International professional tasting competition "Odessa Gulf ". The basic purpose of competition - revealing of qualitative product samples and assistance to promotion of competitive production in the internal and external markets. Representatives of the state structures, scientific research institutes, leading experts of the enterprises of winemaking and strong spirit drinks industries in Ukraine and abroad have entered into structure of the official tasting commission. More than 20 enterprises from Ukraine, Georgia, Moldova, Belarus have taken part in the competition, it was presented more than 200 samples. The samples presented on competition were estimated under the international standards and the winners were rewarded Grand Prix, gold, silver, bronze medals and diplomas.
The International professional conference " Marketing strategy in promotion of alcoholic production " has collected leading experts in marketing of the alcoholic market of the CIS countries for the third time. The participants of the conference have received practical knowledge of nonconventional methods of sales stimulation of alcoholic production, basic elements in diagnostics of a brand, naming and design of alcoholic production as a basis of the effective communications, modern lines and prospects of development of glass container in Ukraine, marketing of bottle product clothes, the recommendations on development of loyalty programs.
Ukrainian marketing-club "MarketingJazzz" and Association of Corporate Media became the Соorganizers of the conferences this year. The general Internet-partner became "Reklamaster" portal.
The new event of the exhibitions became the International Moldovan - Ukrainian forum devoted to questions of cooperation "From traditions to new realities of cooperation".
To the attention of a wide audience works of winners of photocompetition "PhotoVintage”, devoted to the culture of drinking, have been presented. Organizers of the competition are "Expo-South-Service" company and the Odessa Photographic Association. The concept of competition: a creative sight at alcohol and culture of drinking. The works of professional photographers, amateur photographers and advertising agencies from Ukraine, Russia and Belarus were presented on court of jury. As the prize-winning partner has acted "Acropolis" trade mark. The magazine «Photographer» has acted as the general media-partner.
The huge visitors’ of exhibitions interest was caused with "National tasting" - wine tasting of manufacturers-participants of the exhibition by visitors. In this event, directed on popularization of qualitative drinks at the end user, 10 enterprises have taken part. Samples have been presented in four nominations "Red dry wines", "White dry wines”, “Red semisweet wines", "White semisweet wines".
The best ones were chosen wines of “Shabo” LTD company, “Korolevskii istorii” trade mark, “Odessavinprom” CJSC, “Rosenfeld” trade mark, “Starokozatsky Vinzavod” LTD, “Starokozatskiye Vina” trade mark, “Bolgrad Winemaking Plant” a rented enterprise, “Manavi” LTD (Georgia), “Dva Gruzina” trade mark, “Ahasheni» LTD, “Company NS LTD”.
The advertising campaign including all necessary tools of advertising communications and public relations has been directed on creation of a wide resonance of the exhibitions. All actions of 2008 have received a high estimation of experts. Results of the questioning lead at the exhibition among participants and visitors, allow to predict the further dynamical development of these international projects.
